Learning outcomes

What your team can do by the last session.

Turn inbound calls, texts and emails into scheduled jobs
Draft quotes and follow-ups from a price list
Keep the job system and QuickBooks consistent
Draft payment reminders that a person approves before they go out
Produce a weekly view of booked, completed and billed work
Check AI output before relying on it
Session by session

Each session is a lesson, then hands-on practice.

Every exercise uses the same standardized practice material, so nobody works on live company data during the course. Applying the method to your own business comes after.

Session 1How AI assistants work on office tasks, where they fail, and how to check output. Then turning the practice shop's sample calls, texts and emails into structured job requests.
Session 2From request to scheduled job in a job-management system or spreadsheet. Then scheduling the practice job requests in the practice shop's job list.
Session 3Drafting quotes and follow-ups from a price book. Then quotes and follow-ups from the practice price book, catching pricing errors.
Session 4Keeping the job system and QuickBooks consistent, invoice entries, payment reminders and the weekly view. Then all of it on the QuickBooks sample file for the practice shop.
Session 5Capstone: an inbound job request taken to a scheduled job, a drafted quote and an invoice entry, reviewed against the rubric with written feedback.
Capstone

How the work is checked

Each participant's capstone is reviewed against a written rubric, and everyone gets written feedback.

  • The job, quote and invoice agree
  • A planted pricing error is caught
  • The steps are documented
Scope

What the course is not

  • Not self-paced. Every hour is live and instructor-led.
  • Does not include AI tool licenses, subscriptions or software access.
  • Not an assessment, implementation, advisory or coaching engagement, and not bundled with one.
  • Not work on your own systems or data. That happens after the course, and it is where JMK Ventures can help.
Paying for it in Massachusetts

  • The application is due at least 21 days before the first session, with a DOR Certificate of Good Standing, a DUA Certificate of Compliance and a W-9.

15 minute eligibility check

Tell us your state. We tell you what it pays.

Every state has its own checklist, so the form asks where you are first. Send it and we come back within one business day with what your state's program covers, whether your team qualifies, and the dates you have to hit.

  • You are a private employer with W-2 employees in your state
  • The people you would train are on your payroll, not owners, 1099 contractors or temps
  • You can pay the course invoice first and be reimbursed by the state
  • Training can happen on paid time, at regular wages
  • You can wait out your state's lead time before the first session
More than 100 employees, or in a state marked limited? Send the form anyway. Several states have a second route for larger employers, and we will tell you if one applies to you.

See if your team qualifies

Takes about a minute. We reply within one business day.

More than 100 employees puts some programs out of reach, but not all of them. Massachusetts, for one, has a General Program for larger employers with a 1-to-1 match. Send the form and we will route you.

No cost and no obligation. Help with the application is free, and you file it. Approval is decided by your state's program and is not guaranteed.
